Campus The Hague

Campus The Hague is an institution for university education and scientific research of Leiden University, located in The Hague. It was founded in 1998 as a partnership between the university and the municipality of The Hague, and is based in several buildings in the city. The faculties at Campus The Hague focus on politics, public administration and international law.[1]

Education

As of 2018 six of the seven faculties of the university are active in The Hague. The faculty Governance and Global Affairs is exclusively located in The Hague; similarly are Leiden University College and International Studies. Dean of the Faculty Governance and Global Affairs is prof. Erwin Muller PhD. Campus The Hague of Leiden University offers courses on several areas, mainly public administration, international law, politics and government. The most popular is the English-taught bachelor's course International Studies. Campus The Hague offers six bachelor's courses and eight master's courses. In 2016, Leiden University Medical Center founded an additional branch at Campus The Hague, with research, teaching and a training program for GPs.[2] In 2015 Delft University of Technology opened a branch at Campus The Hague, in the Wijnhaven Building, offering a master's degree in Engineering and Policy Analysis, which is in line with the other programs offered at Campus The Hague.[3] As part of its facilities, Leiden University Library opened a library at Campus The Hague.

Education is coordinated from the Leiden University College The Hague (LUC The Hague) and the Public Administration Institute.

The research branch of Campus The Hague focuses on management, international law and government as well.[4] There are eleven research institutes:
