Plot

After finding his wife, Iracema, murdered and believing he will be accused of the crime, Luis Rolón (Federico Amador) escapes from Patagonia taking his baby daughter, Bruna. Iracema's murderer is her ex-boyfriend, Vito Paternó (Esteban Lamothe). Iracema had suffered years of abuse at Vito's hands and fled to Patagonia after finding out she was pregnant with Bruna (Vito never knew this). She met Omar, who agreed to raise the baby as his own. Vito tracked Iracema down and murdered her after she refused to get back together with him.

Luis ends up in Buenos Aires where he adopts a new identity as Omar Pereyra and remakes his life. Fourteen years later, Omar decides to fulfill an old promise he made to Bruna (Azul Fernández): finish high school. At the night school he attends, Omar reencounters Luciana Cervantes (Calu Rivero), the young woman who saw him flee all those years ago. Omar's past, which he thought he had escaped, comes back to haunts him and he finally has to clear his name. Luciana and Omar fall in love, but they have a major obstacle: Vito, who is now in a relationship with Luciana and refuses to let her go. Omar's longtime friend, Griselda Ramos (Eugenia Tobal), who has always been in love with him, works with Vito to keep Omar and Luciana apart.

Luciana falls for Vito's constant manipulations, while Omar sees exactly what is happening. Luciana finally gets together with Omar after she sees Vito in the throes of passions with her own mother, María Marta (Patricia Viggiano). The truth about Vito murdering Iracema also comes out, and Luciana works with Omar, his friend José (Rodrigo Guirao Díaz), and Iracema's sister, Rita (Bárbara Amaral), to bring Vito to justice. After Vito attempts to rape Luciana, she reveals the truth and runs off, traumatized by the assault. Vito kidnaps Bruna and Omar reveals that she is his biological daughter so he won't kill her. Luciana returns and reveals she is pregnant. Vito attempts to kidnap Luciana, but fails and is finally arrested for Iracema's murder. It all culminates when Vito kidnaps Omar and tries to kill him, but Luciana arrives just in time to save him. Vito is about to murder Luciana and Omar, when Griselda arrives and kills him. Immediately after, Griselda, who has done many bad things, throws herself out of a window and falls to her death.

Some time later, it seen that Luciana, Omar, Bruna, and Bruna's boyfriend, Juani, have all moved to Patagonia. Luciana and Omar have welcomed a baby boy. They are finally free of the obstacles that kept them apart and can finally live happily ever after.
