Corporate Milestones

CITIC Pacific acquired PSINet HK in 2001. In the following year, PSINet HK was renamed to CPCNet (subsequently renamed “CITIC Telecom CPC”).

With six (6) points-of-presence in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Taiwan, CITIC Telecom CPC began providing MPLS VPN services to Hong Kong and Taiwan companies with business operations in Mainland China.

In 2006, CITIC Telecom CPC launched information security services. In the same year, CITIC Telecom CPC expanded presence from Greater China to South-East Asia. .

During 2010, CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited acquired China Enterprise ICT Solutions Limited through CITIC Telecom CPC.

In 2011, the cloud computing solution was launched.

In 2011, CPCNet was renamed CITIC Telecom International CPC Limited (CITIC Telecom CPC)[8] and became one of the first VMware vCloud® Powered service providers in Greater China.

2016 saw, CITIC Telecom CPC commence acquired acquiring Linx Telecommunications.[9] Linx Telecommunication B.V. was renamed and merged into the company as CITIC Telecom CPC Europe. The acquisition further extended CITIC Telecom CPC's global infrastructure and points-of-presence to the Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe markets, including regions encompassed by China's “One Belt, One Road” economic cooperation initiative.

In 2017, CITIC Telecom CPC also became the first IaaS Provider to receive a new cloud-centric ISO27017 certification in Hong Kong.[10]

CITIC Telecom CPC thus became the first Asian managed services provider to own points-of-presence across a multitude of countries along the new “Digital Silk Road,” including: Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Warsaw, Vilnius (Lithuania), Stockholm, Helsinki (Finland), Saint Petersburg (Russia), Moscow, Tallinn (Estonia), Riga (Latvia), Kiev (Ukraine), Budapest (Hungary), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Tbilisi (Georgia), Baku (Azerbaijan), and other locations. This acquisition expanded CITIC Telecom CPC's global footprint from Asia Pacific, North America and Western Europe to encompass Central Asia and Eastern Europe. .

Parent and subsidiary

Parent company, CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited (HKSE 1883), is an ICT service provider in Asia Pacific. Subsidiary company China Enterprise ICT Solutions Limited[11] (“China Entercom” or “CEC”) was founded in 2000,[12] and is an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) service provider in China.
