Bushu Dima

Bushu Dima is the most important, popular and the grandest of the festivals celebrated by the Dimasa Kachari tribe of India. The Dimasas mainly live in the states of Assam and Nagaland. It is an annual harvesting festival. The Dimasas celebrate the festival ardently. The festival is celebrated mainly during the end week of the January month[1] and the start of the February month.[2] There are week long programs that take place associated with this festival.[3]

The old, the young, everyone comes out of his/her house clad in the beautiful traditional dresses and they gather together and dance and sing to the tunes of the Muri and the rhythm of the Kharam.
