Belvidere School, Shrewsbury

Belvidere School is a secondary school located in the Belvidere area of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. A mixed comprehensive school, Belvidere draws 11- to 16-year-olds mainly from the surrounding areas of Monkmoor, Belvidere, Underdale, Abbey Forgate and Cherry Orchard. The school is maintained by Shropshire Council, and there were 810 pupils on roll as of September 2007. It is sited in grounds bordering open fields down to the River Severn The school performs well in local school sport competitions, notably the schools first cricket XI in 2013. l.

The school has been a Technology College since 2003,[1] specialising in Technology, Science and Mathematics. In 2008 it received a second speciality as a Training School.[2]
