Badminton Association of Ghana

The Ghana Badminton Association is the governing body of badminton in Ghana. There are currently 46 Badminton Community Clubs across the country registered as of March 2020 and maintain presence in basic and secondary schools across the country. It was founded in 1972 under the auspices of Ministry of Youth and Sports thorugh the National Sports Authority. In 1974, it became a full member of the African Badminton Federation and International Badminton Federation.[2]

Since its inception in 1972,the Ghana Badminton Association has had seven Presidents.[3]

  • Mr. Akainyah from 1972-1980
  • Mr. F.M. Dickson from 1980-2001
  • Mr. Charles K. Darko from 2001-2004
  • Mr. Paul Kodjokuma from 2004-2009
  • Mr. Nestor Percy Galley from 2009-2017
  • Yeboah Evans 2017 to present
