Athletics at the 1948 Summer Olympics – Men's shot put
The men's shot put event was part of the track and field athletics programme at the 1948 Summer Olympics. The competition was held on 3 August. The final was won by American Wilbur Thompson. Thompson's compatriots, Jim Delaney and Jim Fuchs took 2nd and 3rd place.[1]
