Andriy Zahorodniuk

Andriy Pavlovych Zahorodniuk (Ukrainian: Андрій Павлович Загороднюк; born 5 December 1976[1]) is a Ukrainian entrepreneur and politician.[2] He was the Minister of Defence of Ukraine from 29 August 2019 to 4 March 2020.[3]

Biography

He studied law at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He also graduated from Warwick University and Oxford University.[4]

Zahorodniuk is the CEO of Discovery Drilling Equipment.[5]

From 2015 to 2017, he headed the Reform Project Office at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.[4]

Since 2018, he is a member of the Reform Project Office under the Ministry of Defense.[6]

Advisor to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.[7]

On 9 July 2019, President Zelensky appointed Zahorodniuk to serve as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Ukroboronprom.[5]
