Alves Barbosa

António da Silva Alves Barbosa (24 December 1931 29 September 2018),[2][3] commonly known as Alves Barbosa, was a Portuguese professional road cyclist. He won the Volta a Portugal in 1951, 1956 and 1958, placing third in 1955, and rode the Tour de France from 1956 until 1958 and again in 1960.[4][5] He also won a stage of the 1961 Vuelta a España.
