Al Ahly Women's Volleyball

Al Ahly Women's Volleyball Club (Arabic: النادي الاهلي للكرة الطائرة للسيدات‎) is a part of f Al Ahly SC Club, which represents the club in Egypt and in major international volleyball competitions. The club has been based in Cairo since the 1940s'.

The club broke many records as the most crowned team in Egypt with a total of 64 titles including 34 league titles and 30 Egyptian Cups. Additionally, the club holds a record in Africa as the most crowned team with eight African Champions Cups and eight African Winners Cup Internationally The club is the only team to surpass 30 domestic titles and 30 domestic cups.

Home Arena

When Al Ahly started to create handball, basketball and volleyball teams, he recognized the importance to build an arena to host the home matches of these teams. Initial designs and a search for funds was begin in 1978; however, because of funding problems the project was postponed. On February 4, 1994, Al Ahly opened his sports hall officially during the time of Chairman Saleh Selim.

Opening Ceremony After many year of waiting, Al Ahly finally achieved his dream and built his sports hall arena, and on February 4, 1994 Al Ahly officially opened his hall with a big opening ceremony, The ceremony commenced with words from Al Ahly, Chairman at that time Saleh Selim and declared that the name of the hall would be "Prince Abdalla El Faisl Hall" due to his great efforts and help that he produced for Al Ahly, and that was in attendance of his son Mohammed El faisl and he received a Commemorative medal The first game held at Al Ahly Sports Hall was basketball - a friendly game between al Ahly and Ithhadd alex, followed by a Futsal match between Al Ahly, old players against El Esmailly old players. Mohmoud El Khatib and aly abu greisha participated in that match.
