Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies

Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies is a management degree college in Bangalore, India.[1][2] It is an ISO 9001 and 2008 certified institution.[2] The campus is situated in Hosur road opposite to Lal bagh Gardes, Bangalore, Karnataka.[3] It was established in the year 1994. The college is affiliated to Bangalore University, Karnataka.[4] It is an All India Council for Technical Education approved college. It is the second best Business school in Bangalore.[2][5] Through proving good quality education, the college is making its students rank holders and gold medalists in every year.[2] Ms. B.A.Anuradha is the Principal of the institution.[6]

History

Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies was started by Al-Ameen Educational Society. The society is a non-profit educational organization running more than 140 institutions throughout India. The society was started in 1966 by Dr.Mumtaz Ahmed Khan.[7]

Academic

Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For specializing in Master of Business Administration,[8] the institution is offering two fields i.e. Finance, Marketing system and Human Resources Management. These course are full-time and the duration is two years and the courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education.[2] Bachelor of Business Management is the undergraduate program offered by the institution.

The institute is having a good collection of Management Studies books in its library.

Activities

Civic Sense Day was celebrated at Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies, Bangalore.[9] The World Communication Day was celebrated in the institute and on the same day a discussion was organised by the institute. Topic for the discussion was 'Ethics in Communication'.[10] On 5 March 2008, The General Manager of Team Lease Services Private Limited, addressed the students of Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies in Al-Ameen campus and the program was organised by the Business Club.[11] The Regional Manager of 'The Hindu' was also present in that occasion.[12] The college celebrated Management Fest Melenge on 14 March 2012.[13] On sponsorship of Association of Indian Management School, Al-Ameen organised a national conference on Implications of multiculturalism in the changing business scenario in October 2012.[14]
