ADAM Architecture

ADAM Architecture is an architecture and urban design practice in the UK with offices in Winchester and London. The practice specialises in contemporary traditional and classical design, commonly known as New Classical Architecture.

The Practice was established in Winchester in 1955 as Evans, Roberts and Partners, and Robert Adam joined the practice in 1977.[1] The practice became incorporated in 1986 as Winchester Design and the name was changed to Robert Adam Architects in 2000.[2] The practice name changed to ADAM Architecture in March 2010. At the beginning of April 2020, Robert Adam stepped down as a Director of ADAM Architecture and will become an independent consultant. The practice remains equally owned by the shareholding directors: Nigel Anderson, Hugh Petter, George Saumarez Smith and Robbie Kerr.

The practice works on projects throughout Britain, the USA, continental Europe, the Middle East, India and Japan. The team of around 75 staff includes architects, technologists, urban designers, project managers, craftspeople, administrative support staff, and Dan Cruickshank as historic building consultant.

Robert Adam was awarded the renowned Driehaus Architecture Prize in 2017.
