4–20 The 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, will air on NBC and its cable networks, including CNBC, MSNBC, NBCSN, and the USA Network. [1]
6 Super Bowl LVI, which is to be played at SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California, will air in English on NBC, and in Spanish on Telemundo. This marks the first time a Super Bowl were ever to be played during an ongoing Winter Olympics. This was due to NBC swapping broadcast rights to Super Bowl LV with CBS to prevent competition for viewership and advertising sales, and to create advertising packages for both the Super Bowl and the 2022 Winter Olympics. 21–December 18 The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar will air on Fox, Fox Sports 1, Telemundo, and Universo. This is the first World Cup to be held outside the northern hemisphere summer due to Qatar's climate considerations. [6][7]
