2021 NFL Draft

The 2021 NFL Draft will be the 86th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible players. The draft is scheduled to be held from April 29 – May 1, 2021 in Cleveland, Ohio.[1]

Host city bid process

The host city for this draft was chosen on May 22, 2019 during the NFL Spring League Meeting.[2] Cleveland and Kansas City were announced as the hosts for 2021 and 2023, respectively, from the remaining finalists from the 2019 draft after Las Vegas, Nevada was chosen to host the 2020 event, only to have it be moved to a virtual setting due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Vegas was then awarded the rights to host in 2022. Denver meanwhile withdrew their bid.[3]

  • New Orleans → Cleveland (PD). New Orleans traded a third-round and 2020 third-round selections to Cleveland in exchange for Cleveland's 2020 third- and seventh-round selections.[trade 3]
  • San Francisco → Washington (PD). San Francisco traded a third-round and 2020 fifth-round selections to Washington in exchange for offensive tackle Trent Williams.[trade 4]
