2020–21 Liga MX season
The 2020–21 Liga MX season will be the 74th professional season of the top-flight football league in Mexico. The season is divided into two championships—the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura—each in an identical format and each contested by the same eighteen teams. The Apertura tournament does not have an official start date due to the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the country and after the previous tournament was cancelled without a champion.[1]
The tentative date for the start of the season is 24 July 2020.[2]
