2018 Baltimore Orioles season
The 2018 Baltimore Orioles season was the franchise's 118th season. The season, as with the succeeding season, set several statistical records and quirks, such as being 60 or more games behind the division (later World Series) champions Red Sox. They surpassed their old 107-loss record from 30 years prior, then subsequently surpassed the 1939 franchise 111-loss mark when they were known as the St. Louis Browns. They were eliminated from playoff contention with a defeat to the Toronto Blue Jays on August 20, including a victory by the Oakland Athletics that same day.
