The 1991 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team represented the University of Notre Dame in the 1991 NCAA Division I-A football season.[1] The team was coached by Lou Holtz and played its home games at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana.

Starting on September 7, 1991, the National Broadcasting Company started televising Notre Dame Home football games.[2] Notre Dame became the first Division 1-A football team to have all of its home games televised exclusively by one television network.
