1973 Equatorial Guinean presidential election

Presidential elections were held in Equatorial Guinea in October 1973, despite the fact that incumbent Francisco Macías Nguema had been declared president for life the previous year. The country was a one-party state at the time (with the United National Workers' Party as the sole legal party) and Nguema was the only candidate, being re-elected unopposed.[1]
