Zwe Pyae (Burmese: ဇွဲပြည့်, born Zarni Maung Maung on 30 November 1988) is a prominent contemporary Burmese singer, musician and actor. He rose to fame with his debut album International Heart Broken Day.[1]

Early life and education

Zwe Pyae was born on 30 November 1988 in Mandalay, Burma. He is the youngest son of 5 siblings, including 1 elder brother and 4 elder sisters.[2] Zwe Pyae's family is involved in commerce in Pakokku, Magwe Region.[2] He attended Basic Education High School No. 11 Mandalay and is presently pursuing an LLB degree at Yadanabon University.[2]

Career

Music career

Zwe Pyae began his music career in 2011.[2] He launched his debut solo album, International Heart Broken Day (အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာ အသည်းကွဲသောနေ့) in 30 November 2014. Since he has released a solo album, he got big break in music industry and performed in many concerts.[3]He released his second solo album, Refuge (ခိုလှုံရာ) on February 2017 and Refuge video album released in 27 May 2018.[4] He has released 2 solo albums and over 50 collaborative albums in his music career.

Acting career

He made his acting debut with the Big-screen movie, Do Ghosts Have Horns? (သရဲဆိုတာချိုနဲ့လား), playing the lead role, alongside actress Yamin May Oo in 2016. The movie directed by Ei Ei Khine, and which showing in myanmar cinemas in 6 May 2018.[5]In the same year, he start acting lead role in his second film, International Heart Broken Day alogside actress Su Pan Htwar and directed by Myat Khine. The film was converting movie from his song. And he also starring main role in his third film, Ma Gyi San and Her Lovers with actress Khin San Win, Su Pan Htwar and Htet Aung Shine, directed by Myat Khine, film released in 2016.[6]

In 2018, he starring lead role in Burmese television series Two Flower Jousting alongside actress Paing Phyoe Thu and May Barani Thaw, aired on MRTV in March 2018.
