ZipRecruiter is an American employment website. Founded in 2010, it is one of the most popular employment platforms in the U.S.[1] According to Alexa Internet, it is among the top 2,000 most popular websites globally and the top 400 most popular websites in the United States.[2]

History

ZipRecruiter was founded in 2010 by Ian Siegel, Joe Edmonds, Ward Poulos, and Will Redd. In August 2014, the company raised its first-round funding totaling $63 million. The series A was led by Institutional Venture Partners and included Basepoint Ventures and Industry Ventures.[3][4] At that time, ZipRecruiter was valued at $400 million[5] and boasted 30,000 new businesses joining the website every month.[4][6]

In late 2017, Facebook announced that it added ZipRecruiter job listings to its platform. In February 2018, the company partnered with ADP to integrate ZipRecruiter's functionality into the ADP RUN Powered recruiting platform.[7] At that time, Recode reported that ZipRecruiter authorized a new round of financing that valued the company at around $930 million.[8]
