Zaku is a horizontal shooter for the Atari Lynx handheld game system. Developed over a six-year period by PenguiNet with the aid of an official Lynx development kit, the game takes full advantage of the Lynx's unique features and hardware. Zaku was first shown to the public as a playable demo on October 27, 2007 at the Retro-gaming Connexion event in Congis-sur-Thérouanne, France.[1]

The finished game was officially released on October 24, 2009 by North American company Super Fighter Team at the price of $40USD per copy. Of significant note is that Zaku was the first new game for the Lynx whose game card has an authentic "curved lip" plastic shell. The game also shipped with a full color cardstock box, and 31 page instruction manual printed in both English and French.[2] The game is 4-megabits (512 kilobytes) in size.

Zaku works with both models of the Lynx system.
