Zaina Agoro (born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 7), better known by her stage name Zaina, is a Nigerian American singer and songwriter.

Life and career

Zaina Agoro was born to Nigerian parents in Chicago, Illinois, where she spent her early years. She began a career in singing after securing a law degree. During this period, she returned to Nigeria with the intention of bringing her experience home to her roots.[1] Zaina has gained recognition in the United States among the Nigerian community and received two nominations from the NEA awards 2008 and 2011.[2]

Zaina has worked with artists Eldee, Banky W, Styl Plus, Lynxx, Sauce Kid and Sasha. She has also shared the same stage with the likes of D'banj and 2face Idibia. She a performed at the NEA 2011 awards in New York.[3]

Zaina was signed to Soul Muzik in July 2012 [4] and has released two singles[5] and one video.[6]
