Zabdicene

Zabdicene or Bezabde (Armenian: Ծավդեք or Զավդեք, translit. Tsavdek' or Zavdek'; Greek: Ζαβδιχηνής, translit. Zavdichinis; Latin: Zabdiccena; Classical Syriac: Zawdai‎) was a Carduchian[1] principality in southeastern Anatolia, in today's south east Turkey. It was located west of Ake, southwest of Anjewaci and north of Adiabene.

Zabdicene was considered a significant Roman stronghold. In 360 it was subject to an invasion by Shapur II.[2]

The principality declined by the mid-fifth century.
