ZS Associates(ZS) is a US management consulting firm headquartered in Evanston, Illinois that provides services primarily in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare and agribusiness industries. ZS was founded in 1983 by Prabhakant Sinha and Andris Zoltners, who worked together as professors of marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University[4]

The firm employs more than 5,000 employees[5] in 22 offices in the Americas, Asia and Europe.[6] ZS's Capability and Expertise Center is located in large hubs in Pune and New Delhi, India. In 2014, ZS worked with 49 of the 50 largest drug-makers and 17 of the 20 largest medical device makers [7] and also serves consumer products, financial services, industrial products, telecommunications, and transportation and logistics industries.[8]

History

ZS was founded by Andris Zoltners, Frederic Esser Nemmers Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management,[9] and Prabhakant (Prabha) Sinha, a former associate professor of marketing at the Kellogg School of Management. At Kellogg, Sinha and Zoltners developed a side business advising companies on sales and marketing, which evolved into ZS.[10]

According to career review site Glassdoor, ZS Associates regularly features amongst the Top 10 most difficult companies to interview with, ranking 5th in 2012 and 7th in the latest rankings. [11]

In 2017, ZS was rated as the 10th best firm to work for and featured in the top 5 for strategy services, by Consulting Magazine[12]. Based on the data collected by Transparent Career, ZS was the 12th best company for MBAs to work[13] at, while also being the 6th best consulting company for MBA graduates[14] based on compensation, average hours worked, and overall employee satisfaction.[15] A similar study done by Wall Street Oasis based on the data they collected, placed ZS at the 7th spot amongst consulting firms having the highest job satisfaction rates. [16]
