ZHZ UAVs are Chinese UAVs developed by Zhong-Hang-Zhi (ZHZ) Science and Technology Ltd. (ZHZ, 北京中航智科技有限公司). A total of two ZHZ UAVs have been developed and both are unmanned helicopters.

TC

TC is an unmanned helicopter of conventional layout. TC UAV utilizes commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) subsystems such as Copterworks-AF25B fuselage and HeliAP autopilot. ZHZ developed its own GPS assisted inertial navigation system (INS) and integrated with COTS subsystems. The advantage of using COTS items includes higher reliability of established product and faster development with lower risks. Specification:[1]

  • Main rotor diameter: 2.16 m
  • Tail rotor diameter: 0.403 m
  • Length: 2.63 m
  • Width: 0.32 m
  • Height: 0.711 m
  • Empty weight: 20 kg
  • Payload: 12 kg
  • Endurance: 1 hr
  • Cruise speed: 60 km/hr
  • Ceiling: 2 km

TD220

TD220 is a coaxial unmanned helicopter developed by ZHZ. The indigenously developed coaxial rotors has only half as many components as that of Kamov coaxial rotors, thanks to the replacement of many mechanical parts with electrical components. TD220 only needs a space of 5 m x 5 m to takeoff and land.[2] Specification:[3]

  • Rotor diameter: 3.964 m
  • Length: 2.48 m
  • Width: 0.54 m
  • Height: 1.78 m
  • Empty weight: 140 kg
  • Max takeoff weight: 290 kg
  • Payload: 100 kg
  • Endurance: 5 hr
  • Cruise speed: 100 km/hr
  • Ceiling: 4 km
  • Power plant: 65 hp engine powered by either gasoline or kerosene
  • Unit price: ¥ 14 million
