Yusif Yakubu (born 4 September 1976 in Kumasi) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who is currently playing for Churchill Brothers.One of the more dedicated sportsman to have played on Indian soil. He stayed on to play a match in East Bengal's Jersey even after getting the news of his mother demise. And he was all over the opposition in that match.

Career

Before joining Kingfisher East Bengal,[1] he had played for the I-League clubs Churchill Brothers and Mahindra United.[2] He is one of the all-time top scorer in Indian League and has scored 100 goals in the top tier of Indian football.[3] On 26 May 2010 left East Bengal Club and signed for Salgaocar SC.[4] He is considered as one of the finest foreign football players in the history of Indian Club football.[5]

On 7 August 2017, it was announced that Yakubu would return to India to sign for Churchill Brothers for their Goa Professional League campaign.[6]
