Yuntunmian

Yuntunmian (Chinese: 雲吞麵) is a popular and traditional Chinese dish. The cuisine is especially prevalent in Hong Kong, Guangdong and some southeast Asian countries like Singapore. Yuntunmian is made with noodles, and Yuntun dumplings which contain pork, fungus, onions and so on.

History

Yuntunmian originated from Guangzhou and flourished in Hong Kong during the period of 1950s. It is said that the food was introduced to Guangdong in the Tang and Song dynasties[1]

Recipe

Main ingredient: Egg noodles 500g, 6-8 Yuntun dumplings, Lettuce 200g

Supplementary material: Soup ( chicken soup), seaweed, chives, salt.
