Youth Ki Awaaz is a user-generated content platform publishing stories by users. It was founded by Anshul Tewari.[1] In 2015 Quintillion Media, led by Raghav Bahl and Ritu Kapur, invested Rs. 4 crore (US$ 600,000) in Youth Ki Awaaz.[2]
Youth Ki Awaaz is a mixed English-Hindi phrase meaning "Voice Of Youth". Youth Ki Awaaz presents itself as "Youth Ki Awaaz: Citizen Journalism & News, Voice Of Youth",[3] calling itself a "social justice media platform".[4]
The platform received the "Social media for empowerment" award at the 2013 Manthan South Asia Awards[5] and the Laadli Media Awards for "gender sensitivity" in 2016.[6]
