Yoshio Kitajima (北島 義生, Kitajima Yoshio, born October 29, 1975) is a former Japanese football player.

Playing career

Kitajima was born in Joso on October 29, 1975. Through Chinese club Guangdong Hongyuan, he joined Japan Football League (JFL) club Oita Trinity in 1997. However he could not play many matches. In 1998, he moved to JFL club Mito HollyHock based in his local Ibaraki Prefecture. However he could not play at all in the match. In 1999, he moved to newly was promoted to J2 League club, Ventforet Kofu on loan. However he could not play many matches. In 2000, he returned to Mito HollyHock was promoted to J2 from 2000. He became a regular player as defensive midfielder and played many matches for a long time. In 2006, he moved to J2 club Shonan Bellmare. He played many matches until 2007. However his opportunity to play decreased in 2008 and he retired end of 2008 season.
