Yomiuri Pro Championship
The Yomiuri Professional Championship was a golf event from 1952 to 1961. It was sponsored by Yomiuri Shinbun newspaper. The tournament was restricted to the top 30 professional players of the previous Japan Open and sponsors invitations such as Ken Venturi ad Jack Burke Jr.[1] in 1958 or Arnold Palmer[2] and Gary Player in 1961.The tourney was continued as a full field event with the name of Yomiuri International from 1962.
