Yavneh College in the UK is a Jewish secondary school and sixth form for boys and girls aged 11-18 yrs. It is a comprehensive school with five form entry and part of the Yavneh College Academy Trust.
History
The school was established in 2006 when it contained just 93 year 7 pupils on a £35m campus which was designed for 1,000 pupils.
When founded, the school was led by headmistress Dr. Dena Coleman, who passed away in June 2013 just a few weeks before her planned retirement.[1] In September 2013, Mr Spencer Lewis took over the role of headteacher, having previously had the same role at Kantor King Solomon High School. [citation needed]. The school previously had specialist school status as a Business and Enterprise College (before converting to an academy).
In September 2016, Yavneh College Academy Trust expanded to include Yavneh Primary School. Currently the temporary school is located on-site in luxury cabins whilst building works are ongoing. The Primary School was opened in September 2016.
