Yannick Ruiz Gomes

Yannick Ruiz Gomes (Born Bissau, December 7, 1988) is a Portuguese footballer of Guinea-Bissau origin who plays as a striker.

Career

Yannick Ruiz Gomes emigrated to Portugal when he was 4 years old and joined União de Coimbra when he was 7 years old. He played for the club in all youth categories.

During his youth career, Yannick also played one season for the Under-17s of the Associação Académica de Coimbra, and one season for the Under-19s of Associação Naval 1º de Maio in Figueira da Foz.

As a senior, Yannick played for F.C. Pampilhosa, Gândara and Sporting de Pombal. Between 2010 and 2014 he played for clubs in Germany, Luxembourg and Cyprus, returning to Portuguese football in January 2015 to temporarily represent Penelense under a short-term contract until May that year.

In August 2015, Yannick signed for Associação Desportiva Nogueirense, based in Oliveira do Hospital, remaining there for only two months. In January 2016, he signed until the end of the season for A.D.R.C. Aguiar da Beira, helping the club to win the A.F. Guarda cup. Following this he played for Lithuanian club Stumbras Kaunas in 2016 before returning to Portugal to play for G.D. Oliveira de Frades in January 2017.

In March 2018 Yannick joined Chinese team Hang Sai, of the Macau Elite League.
