XHYRE-FM is a radio station in Mérida, Yucatán. Broadcasting on 107.9 MHz, XHYRE is owned by the Secretariat of Culture and is the first ever repeater of Radio Educación outside of Mexico City.[2]
Testing began for XHYRE on December 10, 2015.[3]
It initiated its formal transmissions on May 29, 2017 and later its signal became independent from that of XEEP-AM.[4]
