World Central Kitchen

World Central Kitchen is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization devoted to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters. Founded in 2010 by celebrity chef José Andrés, the organization prepared food in Haiti following its devastating earthquake. The NGO subsequently organized meals in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Zambia, Peru, Cuba, Uganda, Cambodia, and Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria, where it served more than 3,000,000 meals in the months following the disaster.[1][2][3]
