Woonsocket Harris Public Library is a public library at 303 Clinton Street in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Founded in 1866, it is Rhode Island's first public library.[1] The library was originally housed in what is now Woonsocket City Hall (the Harris building) where it was founded by Edward Harris, an abolitionist, wool manufacturer and philanthropist.[2] In 1974 the library moved to the current building, which was renovated in 2001.[3]
