Windsor High School is a high school located in Windsor, Colorado, United States. The school is part of the Weld RE-4 School District.[2] It serves about 1,495[3] students, and employs about 76[4] faculty members.

Marching band

The school's marching band has a long history. In 1991 and 1992 the band won state 2A championships, and in 2008 and 2011 it won state 3A band.

It changed its name from "The Windsor High School Marching Band" to "Pride of Windsor Marching Band" after the state competition finals in 2008. The band performed for President Barack Obama's inaugural parade on January 20, 2009.

They also took second in the state finals for 3A bands, with the highest score this band has received, a 70.20. They took third place in 2010 with only the semi-finals practice to use as their finals run. The band has been selected to march in the 75th Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Hawaii on December 7, 2016.

Sports

Windsor offers several sports, including football, basketball, swimming, track and cross country.[11] The Wizards boast 18 state championships including four earned in 2018 alone:[12]

The boys' basketball team went to state competition in 1924, and then went on to win the national competition[14]. They made it all the way to the state championship game in 2011 and lost to Sterling High School. In 2015, they reached the 4A Championship and defeated the Loveland Indians 35-14.

The boys' soccer team went to the quarter round of state playoffs in 2010. After a record of 16 shutouts, they lost to Mullen High School. They won their conference with only one loss against rival Northridge High School.
