William Wallace (1893–8 November 1917) was an English professional football outside left who appeared in the Football League for Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers.[1]

Personal life

Wallace served as a sapper in the Royal Engineers during the First World War and was killed in West Flanders on 8 November 1917.[4] He is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial.[3]
