William Allison (Assemblyman)
William Allison was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Biography
Allison was born on January 1, 1827 in East Kilbride, Scotland.[1] He would marry Mary Crockett. They would have seven children. A son, James Allison, would also become a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
In 1851, Allison settled in Vernon, Wisconsin. He later moved to Maxville, Wisconsin, where he would own a farm. Allison died in 1882. He was a Presbyterian.
Political career
Allison was a member of the Assembly in 1880.[2] Other positions he held include school board member. He was a Republican.
