Will Ryman (born 1969) is an American artist. He is the son of Robert Ryman, a minimalist painter, and Merrill Wagner, also a painter.[1] His work has been shown at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, at the Marlborough Gallery in New York, and at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

Life and work

Ryman was a playwright for twelve years prior to becoming an artist.[2]

Ryman took part in the Greater New York 2005 exhibition at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center.[3]

His work The Bed was shown at the Saatchi Gallery.[4]

From January to May 2011 his sculptures of roses were installed on the Park Avenue Mall, between 57th and 67th Streets in New York City.[5][6]

His works are in the collections of the Farnsworth Art Museum, the Colby College Museum of Art, the Martin Z. Margulies Collection and the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, NY.[6]
