Will Licon (born August 25, 1994)[1] is an American competition swimmer who specializes in the Breaststroke and Medley. He is the current American Record holder in the 200 yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:47.91. In 2015, he won the 400 Medley and 200 Breaststroke at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championship. In 2016, he won the 200 Breaststroke and 200 Medley with a pool record of 1:40.04 (beating Ryan Lochte's previous record), and breaking the NCAA pool and American Record. He competed for the University of Texas at Austin from 2013 to 2017 and now competes for the club team Longhorn Aquatics. In 2016 he placed third in the 200m Breaststroke at the US Olympic Swimming Trials, just missing qualifying for the United States Olympic team by 14 hundredths of a second. The past two years, Licon has been named a member of the United States National Team.
