Wilfred Frost

Wilfred "Wilf" Frost was born August 7, 1985 in London England. He is the son of the late interviewer and television host Sir David Frost and Lady Carina Fitzalan-Howard. Frost attended Oxford University. Wilfred graduated with a degree in Politics, Philosophy & Economics [1]

Career

After graduating Wilfred worked as fund manager with the Newton Investment Management and was based in London.[2] After five years of working in the financial field Wilfred left to pursue a career in broadcasting.

CNBC

In 2014 Wilfred joined CNBC as the co-anchor of "Worldwide Exchange", he first hosted the program in CNBC London studios, before moving to CNBC World Wide headquarters in New York.[3] Prior to joining CNBC fulltime Wilfred freelanced and filed reports for CNN and ITV New.

In 2016 during the crucial Brexit decision, Wilfred provided coverage for CNBC as well as CNBC sister networks MSNBC and NBC News.


In 2018 Wilfred was promoted to Co-Anchor of CNBC "Closing Bell" a program that airs live daily on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.[4] In 2018 Wilfred was a part of NBC News’ coverage of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Personal Life

In 2015 Wilfred's older brother Miles died from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, the same condition that their father David Frost died from 2013. In response he and his younger brother George created the Miles Frost Fund which is working to make sure more people are tested and aware of this hereditary heart condition.[5]
