History & amenities

The parish is bound to the east by the Bow Brook. Nearby places are Churchill, Peopleton, Spetchley and Egdon.

The parish Church of England church is dedicated to St John the Baptist.

The village name derives from the Cistercian nuns of Whitstones Priory, north of Worcester, who held land in the parish.[1]
