The white-vented violetear (Colibri serrirostris) is a species of hummingbird in the subfamily Trochilinae.[2]

It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, dry savanna, and heavily degraded former forest.[1]
