Wellesley College Tupelos

Founded in 1947, the Tupelos are the oldest a cappella group at Wellesley College. The group has arranged numerous pieces with a repertoire that includes pop, jazz, throwbacks, and traditional Wellesley songs. For over 65 years, they have been performing for audiences up and down the East Coast, hosting guest groups, and competing at the collegiate level. They are known for their iconic "Sunday Candy" mashup performance and have been featured on Acaville Radio. [1] [2]

Origin

The Tupelos take their name from the romantic spot on the College’s Lake Waban, “Tupelo Point."
