"Welcome 2 Detroit" is the lead single from American rapper Trick-Trick's debut studio album, The People vs.. The song features vocals from fellow American rapper Eminem and Trick-Trick's hip hop group, Goon Sqwad. "Welcome 2 Detroit" peaked at #100 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Critical reception
DJBooth wrote a positive review: "With the lead single, “Welcome 2 Detroit,” Trick gets a helping hand from Eminem to help represent his hometown. With a raspy, aggressive voice similar to Ice Cube, Trick shows that he is not going to be yet another Detroit rapper with joke-laden lyrics."[1]
Music video
The music video for "Welcome 2 Detroit" is set in Detroit at The Shelter. It features cameo appearances by Proof of Eminem's rap group D12, and fellow rapper Fat Joe.
