Warsaw Pact Early Warning Indicator Project

The Warsaw Pact Early Warning Indicator Project was a highly classified US and Allied program designed to gather intelligence that would provide indicators of impending Soviet nuclear attacks before they occurred.[1] It was the American analogue to Operation RYAN.
