Wale Adebanwi

Professor Wale Adebanwi, (born 1969), is a Nigerian - born first Black African Rhodes Professor at St Antony's College, Oxford

Education background

Wale Adebanwi graduated with first degree in Mass Communication from University of Lagos, and later had M.sc and Ph.D in Political Science from University of Ibadan. He also had MPhil and Ph.D in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.[1]

Early life

Wale Adebanwi worked as a freelance reporter, writer, journalist and editor for many newspapers and magazines before he joined the University of Ibadan, Department of Political Science as a lecturer and researcher.[2]
