Wael Arakji (Arabic: وائل عرقجي) is a Lebanese basketball player who plays for Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut as a Point Guard.He is one of the best players in Lebanon and have a big future.

He is considered one of Asia's best PG and he is known for his speed and acrobatic finishes. Wael was eligible in the 2016 NBA Draft, but was ultimately undrafted that year.

Career

Wael Arakji was a huge standout for the U18 national team in the 2012 FIBA Asia Under-18 Championship in which Lebanon came 7th in the rankings. His individual performance however sparked the interests of Slobodan Subotic who at the time had been appointed as head coach in that year for Riyadi. Arakji signed for Riyadi in 2012 and played his first game in the 2012 Hariri Tournament taking place in Saida. Arakji has been considered as one of the best young talents entering the league. On April 26, 2015, it was reported that he entered the 2015 NBA draft,[1] but has later decided to withdraw.[2]
