WWE SmackDown 1000 will be a television special to be broadcast live on October 16, 2018, airing on USA Network (in the U.S.) as the 1000th episode of WWE's flagship show SmackDown.
Background
WWE SmackDown, began with the shows debut on August 29, 1999 in Kansas City, Missouri. The show was originally broadcast on Thursday nights but moved to Friday on September 9, 2005, before returning to Thursdays on January 15, 2015.[2] On July 19, 2016, it was moved to a live broadcast on Tuesday nights.[3] Former SmackDown World Heavyweight Champions The Undertaker, Edge, and Rey Mysterio will appear at the event.[4][5]
