WWBD (94.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a mainstream rock music format.[1] Licensed to Sumter, South Carolina, United States, the station is currently owned by Community Broadcasters, LLC.[2]

History

The station was assigned the call letters WICI-FM on January 31, 1995. On February 17, 1995, the station changed its call sign to WICI. On January 21, 2009, the station changed its callsign to the current WWBD.[3]

The "Bad Dog" classic rock format moved from the station that is now WMXZ to WGFG early in 2009. The former WICI also began airing the music, but a few months later added more newer rock.
